sample: What are Substantiue Nownes? A Substantiue is a Nowne, which hath but one article only: as, hic Pater, a Father. Or two at the most: as, hic & hæc Parens. And they are thus interpreted: Domus, an House: Manus, the Hand: Virtus, Vertue. Of Substantiue Nowns, some are called Proper Nownes; and some, Appellatiues. A Proper Nowne, is that which agreeth to one particular thing only: as, Londinum, Petrus, Rhenus. (p. 10)
